Having gained artistic recognition, Hollis is very selective in participating in juried shows and exhibitions.  He "walks to his own drumbeat" rather than conforming to the rigid genre requirements most exhibitions use to guide their selections and awards. He strongly prefers to follow his independent inclinations, but will work with galleries and exhibitions that encourage artistic freedom and exploration.
