Richardson has long enjoyed creating fine art with pen and ink and pencil. He credits the process with teaching him to see in more detail and believes it is a foundational skill for artists to refine their designs. While his earlier works focused on realism, his work has evolved to be more simplified and stylized as he pursues his interest in pure design, much like Picasso’s evolution.
